BACHE Affiliations

BACHE is a member of the Higher Education Estates Association Forum (HEEAF). HEEFA was set up by the Association of University Director of Estates (AUDE) and carries out a valuable role in enabling sector estates related Associations to co-ordinate their activities and exchange good practice.

The HEEFA group, meets twice a year, comprising representatives from the following estates-related organisations: 

Association for Student Residential Accommodation (ASRA); 

Association of University Chief Security Officers (AUCSO); 

Association of University Engineers (AUE); 

British Association of Cleaning in Higher Education (BACHE); 

College and Universities Business Officers (CUBO); 

Environmental Association for Universities and Colleges (EAUC); 

Standing Conference for Heads of Media Services (SCHOMS); 

The University Caterers Organisation  Limited (TUCO); 

Universities Safety and Health Association (USHA)

HEEFA promotes communication between sector Associations, fosters co-operation and assists in the dissemination of information and expertise.

BACHE is a member of the British Cleaning Council. The British Cleaning Council is the voice of the UK cleaning industry. It was established in 1982 to coordinate the affairs of the industry and to be responsible at home and abroad on industry matters.

The British Cleaning Council provides a forum for members to meet and work together to raise the profile of the industry and help it gain the credibility it deserves. It also promotes and encourages improvements in health, hygiene and general cleanliness standards.

The British Cleaning Council is a member of the European Federation of Cleaning Industries (EFCI) The EFCI unifies the representative national professional organisations of the cleaning industry across Europe.

The Health and Safety Executivein partnership with members of the Cleaning Industry Liaison Forum (CILF) continues to promote good practice throughout the industry.

The forum comprises of representatives from industry trade associations, trade unions and other industry stakeholders.
